BEBEDEROS DE AGUA POTABLE CALLEJEROS ACTIVADOS A PRESIÓN CON CINTAS ELÁSTICAS (2022)
Various public drinking water fountains located in the streets of the city of Madrid, Spain, were intervened with elastic bands. Each drinker was pressed with a different tape, which was left on each faucet so that the water ran without pause until it was removed by someone.
Understanding water as a fundamental element and resource, the action seeks to materially generate direct misuse, "waste" the element and thus put the occupation of a resource in tension depending on the territory and context.
In relation to this and exemplifying, in Latin America and as a consequence of capitalist processes, natural resources are subject to exploitation, extractivism, privatization, depredation and looting by foreign companies, private individuals and States.
